1. What is RV ?

A recreational vehicle, often abbreviated as RV, is a motor vehicle or trailer which includes living quarters designed for accommodation.Types of RVs include motorhomes, campervans, caravans (also known as travel trailers and camper trailers), fifth-wheel trailers, popup campers, and truck campers.

Different Classes of RV

First of all, RVs are separated into two main types: motorcoaches and towable rigs.
Motorcoaches are self-powered RVs that have their own engine and driving chassis, while towables, as their name implies, require a separate vehicle to tow them with.

Class A RVs

These are the largest class. bus-shaped rigs They can be anywhere from 20 feet to 45 feet in length, or even longer, and some of them sleep up to eight or ten passengers.

Class B Motorhomes

Class B motorhomes are the smallest of the three. They are built on a van chassis and, for that reason, are often simply called camper vans.

Class C Motorhomes

Class C RVs fall somewhere in the middle, ranging from 20 to 34 feet in length. They are built on a truck chassis, which makes them easier to drive than a Class A, but offer more room than a Class B.

With a Class C, you’ll get designated sleeping areas, a dinette, kitchen area, and bathroom. These rigs can usually sleep anywhere between 4-8 people, which makes them great for families or groups of friends.

Travel trailer classes include:

1.Pop-up or foldable trailers, which are very compact but feature canvas sides and need to be physically unfolded before they’re usable
2.Travel trailers, a wide range of towables which come in a variety of RV length measurements and have different floorplans. (Each manufacturer usually has a size chart and specifications for you to look into to see which might be right for your needs)
3.Toy haulers, which are travel trailers that feature a “garage” so you can bring along a large “toy” such as an ATV or snowmobile
4.Fifth wheel trailers, which are the largest RVs available on market.

2. What is RV Industry?

In the U.S. alone, the RV industry creates $50 billion USD in economic impact annually. More than 23,000 businesses are currently involved in the industry, creating nearly 45,000 direct employment opportunities and $3 billion in direct wages. (Recreational Vehicle Industry Association).The RV industry contributes almost $6 billion in taxes to the U.S. economy every year. 3. Booming of RV industry during COVID-19

For many businesses, sales have soared since the pandemic, but for the RV Industry, they're coming off the best month of the year so far.

"We have heard about the 'V-shape' recovery and the RV industry is experiencing that right now," Rv Industry Association spokesperson Monika Geraci says.

According to the RVIA, total RV shipments to retailers in the month of June increased by nearly 11 percent compared to June of 2019 from 36,524 units to 40,462 units -- the most in any month since October 2018.

"We have been seeing this surge in sales since of RVs since state began to reopen," Geraci says.

According to a 2020 survey by the RVIA, more than 46 million people nationwide are expected to take RV trip this year -- a number that spokesperson Monika Geraci says is going to get even higher as more people continue to work from home.
